MUSIC MACHINE_BEST OF_LP_1984_RHINO_HIGH QUALITY TRANSLUCENT VINYL_14 TRX_TALK TALK_RNLP 119_OUT OF PRINT

This is an example of a perfect Rhino LP compilation - one that hits it correctly on every detail. Rhino found a 60’s band that was woefully under-represented in the marketplace. Then made certain their hip-quotient was high enough to generate interest at retail with hardcore music fans. If the band were signed to an indie, (making these out of print recordings harder to find) it was even better. There was a classic national hit in "Talk Talk" to anchor it which would garner some interest from casual listeners. Rhino was also very liberal with the amount of songs placed on the album. 14 is a good amount!. Here’s the icing on "this" album’s platter: "It’s pressed on high quality vinyl!" Now "this" classic compilation is out of print on LP. This is your opportunity to acquire a rare nugget to add to your LP record library!

"4 ½ Stars" – All Music Guide

Ask a vinyl junkie to describe Music Machine’s sound and/or this album’s classic stomper "Talk Talk" and you’re going to accurately receive a variety of replies that include "garage rock", "an original nugget", "punk-rock", and "psychedelic".

SIDE ONE: 1) Talk Talk, 2) The People In Me, 3) Masculine Intuition, 4) Trouble, 5) Come On In, 6) Advise And Consent, 7) Mother Nature – Father Earth

SIDE TWO: 1) The Eagle Never Hunts The Fly, 2) Double Yellow Line, 3) Absolutely Positively, 4) You’ll Love Me Again, 5) Everything Is Everything, 6) Black Snow, 7) Dark White

"Besides "Talk Talk" and "The People in Me," this features the best cuts from their first LP, some fine non-LP singles that rank among the best obscure gems of the psychedelic era, and some decent previously unissued cuts. The package is enhanced by detailed liner notes by the Music Machine’s Sean Bonniwell." ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide

Alice Cooper recorded a faithful remake of "Talk Talk" which appeared on the "Flush The Fashion" album from 1980.

Music Machine bassist Keith Olsen would go on to become a Grammy-winning record producer and audio engineer working with such music heavyweights as Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne, Grateful Dead, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Journey, Joe Walsh, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Rarely handled and played even less. The shrink-wrap was slit at the jacket opening to allow access to the enclosed long out of print vinyl LP record while preserving the original condition of the album cover. The enclosed record has retained its newly opened static charge and is in pristine condition.
