PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Hard to find ...Original first 1968 pressing by a crazy crew of 'heads' known as "5-U-4"
5-U-4 were a talented 1960's band from CUBA with plenty of charisma and appeal, but still widely unknown to this day, releasing only one obscure/scarce album in 1968 that should well appeal to fans into the MUTANTES...this is more or less Cuba's answer to the late '60s Mutantes with similar styles of exotic tropical psych. The original tunes have very infectious melodies nicely sliced with fuzz guitar, male/female vocal trade offs, led by Osvaldo Rodriguez later made a name for himself in the Cuban music scene...The album is highlighted by "Solo Esta Musica" a beautiful flowing memorble melody with Rita Lee/Mutantes styled female vocals, that explodes with extreme soaring fuzz-tone guitar - the tune as good as anything the Mutantes ever recorded. Elsewhere you'll find solid tracks on both sides loaded with the cool tropical exotica-funk/latin-psych feel of the '60s. Osvaldo Rodríguez was director and founder of the Cuban quartet "Los 5-U-4" Group, afterwhich he became known nationally. Rodriguez, besides being a singer with a great voice, was an accomplished arranger and great guitar player. All the songs that he interprets are composed by him, and he often cuts loose with killer fuzz guitar. Rodriguez has a great number of unpublished compositions that have not yet been recorded, and because of the unique characteristics of his native country, Cuba, many of his hits have never been exploited commercially, and some of them have never even been recorded.A:
