Description
MX-80 Sound - "Hard Attack" Vinyl LP.
Original 1977 UK-issue 12-track LP on Island Records.
Complete with the original info/lyrics insert.
MX-80 Sound were a wild band from Bloomington, Indiana (USA), who one critic somewhere once described as "Art-Metal" - I can't think of anything simpler (more emphasis on the art than the metal though). Julian Cope describes them as "Beefheartian heavy metal with lyrics mocking pop-culture and suburban passivity" on his notable "Head Heritage" site - and Trouser Press gives up, simply describing them as "a weird post-metal art band".......
This is their debut album, which was (originally) only released in Europe for some reason.
MX-80 Sound relocated to San Francisco soon after this - and became part of the Ralph Records stable, with The Residents et al.
An album that actually deserves and fits the tag of "Underground Cult Classic".... Getting harder to find these original Vinyl copies now.
Immaculate Vinyl, Decent Sleeve (See detailed gradings below).

Items are graded honestly and conservatively - I know how it feels to get overgraded stuff through the mail !
