Up for auction is an ORIGINAL Maceo Parker and All the King's Men "Doing Their Own Thing" LP on House of The Fox Records. I found this record at an Estate Sale outside of Woodstock, NY last week; this is the second original copy of this title I've sold on E-Bay since becoming a member in June '06.
It was hard enough parting with the first copy I found; if you're reading this, you know how rare this LP is! I never imagined I'd get my hands on this LP again, especially one in BETTER CONDITION than the first. Except for a slight tear on the top right corner of the back cover (see photos) the cover is AMAZING (minimal to no edgewear/ minimal to no discoloration)! The vinyl itself looks like it was barely played at all. The first thing I noticed about the wax was some dust on both sides from the paper inner sleeve; but no SCRATCHES/SCUFFS/MARKS worth mentioning on either side. Overall, I consider this wax EXCELLENT-NEAR MINT. I did not play the record myself-it would've only made it more difficult for me to part with.
For those of you who haven't experienced this recording-IT WILL DROP AN ATOMIC FUNK BOMB ALL OVER YOUR SOUL! It's really that good! The tracks are: Side 1: Maceo, Got to Get Cha, Southwhick, Funky Women; Side 2: Shake it Baby, Better Half, Don't Waste This World Away, I Remember Mr. Banks.
