Welcome to this auction for a very rare double vinyl LP version of Machine Head's The Blackening. This record comes in a gatefold sleeve and is listed on discogs as being on 180 gram vinyl, although it does feel a little light to me. This European pressing is not numbered as far as I can tell but there are certainly very few of them around for sale - on Discogs marketplace for example there are only 4 on sale as I list this and I haven't seen a copy on ebay for a long time. The pressing sounds great and the gatefold is a nice cardstock; overall a really awesome pressing of a great metal album.
I bought this online myself around 4 years ago and have played it a few times since. When I played it last the audio was clean and free from any crackles, jumps or background noises. There are some areas of slight wear to the corners of the sleeve, in particular the top corner of the fold, as seen in the photos. The records themselves are nice and glossy but would perhaps benefit from a clean, they are a little dusty and may have picked up some surface marks, but nothing that affects playback. There may be one or two faint scratches on the discs, but I did not encounter any issues the last time I played the record.
Sadly, both of the printed inner sleeves have split at the bottom - they were like this when it arrived with me. The splits are 2-3 inches long. The inners also show a little wear, mainly where they've been pressed against the discs.
All in all the record is in really great shape and plays perfectly.

Postage:

Postage is first class signed for as standard. Items that sell for more than £50 will be upgraded to guaranteed next day, at no extra cost, to ensure that they are covered by insurance against loss by the Royal Mail.

Single cards and small bundles of cards will be sent in protective sleeves and individual toploaders where available. For larger bundles and other items I will provide details of the packaging and postage in the listing.

Vinyl records are posted in cardboard mailers with stiffeners and plenty of bubblewrap.

Combined postage is offered unless stated otherwise. Simply wait until the day’s auctions are done and I’ll invoice you a discounted rate. Alternatively, you can use the “request total” option from your checkout.

Overseas shipping is only offered through the Global Shipping Program. This means that if your country of residence is not part of the program I am unable to ship to you. Please be aware as well that the GSP does not allow me as the seller to combine postage for multiple wins. If you win multiple items and are using the program, I can refund you part of the postage cost through Paypal.

Local collection is not offered unless stated otherwise in the listing.
