Description
Hi there. Up for sale is this rare Madder Lake 'Butterfly Farm' LP in excellent + condition. It is the original 1974 Mushroom 1st pressing with catalog number on both spine and back cover art (unlike 2nd pressings which only had catalog numbers on labels). This is the 2nd and final album by this Australian Prog Rock outfit until a brief reformation in the early 2000's. This record even has the original fold out poster and record/ stylus care pamphlet. Both are immaculate, unmarked and have no writing or pin holes whatsoever. The following items are graded accordingly: Sleeve: NM- Original matte unlaminated sleeve has no noticeable creasing on either side. There is one 3mm x1mm paper lift near the top left hand side of the back cover, which you have to really look hard for to see. Spine and corners are very straight. There are no pen marks whatsoever. Inner sleeve: EX- Original poly sleeve has minimal creasing and no fold marks or tears. Vinyl: Visually grades NM with loads of shine and no discernible scuff marks. It looks brand new! It plays EX+. There is some low level crackle in the quiet passages, but nothing that affects the listening experience and nothing that can't be heard on brand new releases.. There are no scratches, pops or skips whatsoever. Labels: NM Coloration is vivid with no pen marks, fold marks or tears - like the day it was released. Matrix numbers are Side A: 3 SMX 43767 M/L 1 MR AUS 18512 Side B: 2 SMX 43768 M/L 2 MR AUS 18512-X Please note these gradings are conservative and ultimately you may find the ratings to be even higher. This is getting hard to find in any sort of condition but is priced realistically. YOU WON'T FIND BETTER! All my records are shipped in purpose made record mailing cartons with the record stored externally to the sleeve for greater protection. Please contact me with any questions you have. Thanks for looking.
