Madhouse 16, Paisley Park Records (1987), RARE Prince Vinyl, VG Condition
Madhouse was a jazz-funk ensemble created by Prince to release jazz material he was working on with saxophonist Eric Leeds in the mid-80s. The 8 instrumental tracks here are brilliant, raw and funky. This record followed up the earlier album Madhouse 8.
This record is in very good shape overall. I would grade the album cover conservatively as G+ to VG. It has a deletion cut (which is very common on this record) but the front and back look great. The only thing that is pulling the cover down is the spine which has clearly been scraped when someone was pulling the record out of a container (see pics).
The inner picture sleeve is also in G+ - VG condition. There is a slight tear at the top of the sleeve close to the deletion cut.
I have reflected these small defects in the price of the record.
The vinyl itself is at least VG+. It is glossy and clean and plays beautifully on my system.
