Description
Madonna - Borderline Rare UK 12" Red & Black Marbled Vinyl Test Pressing 1984
An extremely rare UK test pressing 12" single from 1984 of 'Borderline' by Madonna on Sire Records W9260(T). This is an unreleased factory custom test pressing in red and black marbled vinyl. Only a handful of copies are known to exist. It has also been mislabelled with both sides of the record having Side 2 labels making it a real collector's piece (the record itself has the correct three tracks as detailed below).
Side 1
Borderline (U.S. Remix)
Matrix no: W9260(T)A *MT* NW
Side 2
Borderline (Dub Remix) Physical Attraction
Matrix no: W9260(T)B-1 *MT*
The record has been fully cleaned and play tested. The vinyl is in VG+ condition and plays great with just the odd minor background crackle/click/distortion. There is a light warp to the vinyl when playing Side 2 but this does not affect play at all (and is not visible when playing Side 1). The plain red sleeve is in VG+ condition with light general/ring wear.
This is a true collector's item. If you are a Madonna fan, this extremely rare record would be the centrepiece of your collection!
Comes from a smoke free/pet free home.
Note that I use Record Collector's grading system for all my record sales.
The record will be removed from its original sleeve and placed at the side of it in a new white paper sleeve to avoid any seam split during transit. Both will be placed inside a poly sleeve and then into a professional vinyl mailer with stiffeners and extra edge protection. The record will be mailed using a Royal Mail / Parcelforce fully tracked and insured service.
Thank you.
