It was released in 2009 on the 'Warner Bros. Records' label (cat. no. W819 T ) in a Limited run, and comes in a stickered clear plastic sleeve.
'Celebration' was a track written and recorded for the 2009 Madonna compilation of the same name, her third greatest hits album. A collaborative effort between Madonna, DJ Paul Oakenfold, Ian Green and Ciaran Gribbin, a Northern Irish singer-songwriter, also known as Joe Echo. He has worked with a number of acts, such as deadmau5 and INXS, and worked on the soundtrack to the 2011 movie Killing Bono.
The single topped the charts in several countries, including Italy, Sweden and Israel, and reached the Top 5 in others including Japan, Canada, Germany, France and the UK (#3). It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for 'Best Dance Recording'.
This Limited Edition 12” Picture Disc features two remixes by Paul Oakenfold and one from Benny Benassi. Top Italian electro house DJ Benassi has released a number of singles since 2002, and has remixed for some of the biggest names in music, including Katy Perry, Faithless, John Legend, The Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and Britney Spears. His 2008 remix of the Public Enemy classic, 'Bring The Noise' won the Grammy Award for 'Best Remixed Recording'.
