Magic Mixture - This is Magic Mixture Saga Records FID 2125 UK original from 1968
This band had the great misfortune to release their only LP on Saga records, a budget label, with very poor mastering, pressing and vinyl quality (It was rumoured that Saga pressed their records with scraps scavenged from the floors of other pressing plants.) This LP is not in as good condition as the other items I am selling. It can only be classed as VG. However, even Saga LPs that look in good condition rarely play well (I doubt there is even an EX playing copy in existence) and the quality is such that a gnat landing on the record is likely to damage it. This one has a number of surface marks which only look superficial, but there are some ticks and occasional crackle. A pressing fault causes 3 pops on 1 track but it's nothing too disturbing and the great thing is the music. Turn it up a bit, up the middle and the bass, and you get a really good sound and there are some very good songs here, with some great guitar playing. Just a shame, as I said, it's on Saga.
The sleeve is EX with a little creasing on the laminated front, but the mainly white unlaminated back has very little discolouration...
