Magik Dayze - Private Pressing - Incl Lyric Sheet - Char-El - Galileo II - Rush

Found this description using a search: "Magik Dayze were US keyboard whizz Charles Thaxton's (now recording with his solo project Char-El) previous outfit to Galileo II, with a similar mission statement, i.e. keyboard-heavy intelligent hard rock, with a distinct Rush influence apparent, along with other US/Canadian bands of the time."

This LP appears to have been privately pressed in 1978.  

The cover is plan white with a sticker covering the front.  There are two small, very light age spots on the front and a slight lifting of the sticker near the drummer's face that was only noticeable to me when I photographed it.  The back is plain white and looks like a plain white piece of paper that has been moved around since 1978.  No stains but it has absorbed some dirt and dust over the years.  No splitting on the spine.    

The record itself is still shiny and appears to have minimal to no wear around the center hole.  There are several light surface scratches but none that appear to impact playability.  It doesn't look like it was played very much.

Lyric sheet.  Two sided and slightly smaller in size than the cover.  No staining.

I have attempted to be as honest as possible in providing grades for both the vinyl and covers.  Grading is obviously subjective and what may appear acceptable in my eyes may not appear so in yours.  Please zoom in on the pictures in the listing.  This may help you identify any flaws that may prevent you from agreeing with my grading.  If you buy a record from me and are unhappy with it because you believe the grading was misleading, please contact me within a week of receiving it and I will accept a return and will provide you with a full refund.  The goal isn’t simply to reduce my record collect – it’s also to provide you with what you believe you paid for.  Here are the basic guidelines I used in grading the vinyl and covers:

NM VINYL: A very minor scuff can appear and very little else appears on the vinyl.

NM COVERS: Looks close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age.  Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may appear.
EX VINYL & COVERS: I don’t use this grade.  If it doesn’t appear NM to me, the next grade down is VG+.

VG+ VINYL: May show wear, surface scuffs (minor scuffs often caused from inner sleeves) or some very light scratches.  The vinyl should still have great luster, but flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye.  Holding the record up to a very bright light, you may see many tiny lines across the surface.

VG+ COVERS:  Very clean. May have small writing on it.  Artwork is clean with slight aging.  Flat white paper may be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage.  May have some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes popping through.  The corners may be slightly dog eared yet no crackly bends, defacing the artwork.

VG VINYL: Will appear well played but still have some luster. The vinyl may be faded, yet appear to have been handled carefully.  Minor scratches or scuffs may appear but none will be deep.

VG COVERS: Shows wear and use. There may be some seam splitting, ring wear and/or the ink may have begun to wear off.  There may be some minor writing on the cover.  It may look aged or yellowish. 

G VINYL: Will look well played, however, it will still play. It will have distracting surface noise. Such as crackle that is continuous or some hiss.  It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks, caused by deep scratches.  Good means that it will play with some form of decency, so you can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear.
