This record was made and printed in Great Britain and is the original first issue record, NOT  a re-issue or foreign press. Label is silver and black on a light blue background. Cover is the original made in England.  Original sleeve as well. Recently I acquired one man's lifetime collection of classical records from his deceased estate. I am auctioning the best of them on ebay. So please look out for my other auctions. 

Symphony No. 4 in G. Major by Mahler with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Paul Kletzki and with soloist Emmy Loose.. This is one of the best recordings ever made of Mahler's most popular symphony, and hard to obtain in the original thick first press.

There are no visible scratches or scuffs on the record and it appears shiny.  Upon playing the record does show some background surface noise throughout but that does not dominate the rich glorious sound in my opinion.  There are no bad skips or pops or an abundance of recurring tics. I believe a lot of the surface noise can be gotten rid of with a professional clean and I hasten to say that the record has not been professionally cleaned since purchase .  The cover is complete and the front is shiny.  There are small parts of the laminate coming loose at the opening. and there is a small water stain on the reverse at the bottom. The foldover at the back is coming loose at the bottom on the opening but can easily be glued back.There are nine tiny score marks at the top of the record cover at the edge. Still has the original EMI inner sleeve. So for me this is VG/VG and possibly much better with a proper professional clean but you be the judge by looking at the photos

So this is not one for the collector who only wants mint, but for someone who wants to learn from the fantastic recording or who has a professional cleaning equipment it is ideal.

My records are packed carefully using proper boxing with thick card and bubble wrap for added protection.
