Description

Artist: Mal Waldron / John Coltrane

Title: Jazz Interplay

Details: Mono, Blue Labels. This is a 2LP issue of the original albums “Mal 2” and “Interplay For Two Trumpets and Two Tenors”. Other players include Jackie McLean, Sahib Shihab and Art Taylor. A great way to get Van Gelder mono masterings of these sessions.

Cover: VG++ Very Light wear to heavy, high-gloss cover.

LP: VG+ some light surface marks and minor spindle marks. HOWEVER — this LP was pressed on recycled vinyl (you can see this in Prestige, New Jazz and Status LPs from this period), so there is some light background noise, most evident in the opening grooves. The music itself is undistorted and very clear/loud. This LP has also been ultrasonic cleaned in a KLAudio machine. Due to the Minir background noise, I’ve priced accordingly and lower than others on eBay.
