Description

Prestige New Jazz 8269, “The Quest” with Mal Waldron, Eric Dolphy, and Booker Ervin, from 1961.  This is the trident-label pressing from 1964.  The vinyl has no marks and plays at NM with virtually no background sound.  The jacket is just about perfect -- no seamwear, ringwear, corner wear, or splits – is in the original shrink wrap, and is extremely clean with no age coloring.  Back cover has original “203 So. Washington Ave” address.  See scan for track listing. This album takes Waldron’s previous work several steps beyond.  Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire.  Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra.  Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way.  This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides.  It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket.  More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.  All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
