Description

Mal Waldron - The Quest - New Jazz NJ 8269 - Original Mono Deep Groove Purple Label "VAN GELDER" LP

Condition:

Cover: VG+ - faint spotting, name on back
Record: Strong EX - couple shallow marks that don't sound, no spindlewear, plays great

Rare deep groove issue.  This is a great album with Waldron, Dolphy, and Ervin at their peak.  Throw Ron Carter in the mix on cello and round it out with Joe Benjamin and Charles Persip and you have an adventurous but listenable LP.  Here are the tracks:

  4. We Diddit
  5. Warm Canto
  6. Warp and Woof
  7. Fire Waltz

Please see our other auctions for some fantastic original mono's, some on white label promos, and in great condition.  It is well worth your time!
