Killer psychedelic trance / ambient / "underground disco" -

- a one hour-plus long classic from the early 1980's

that was a staple at the Paradise Garage,

mainly because the late, great David Mancuso was

playing this at The Loft, and the late, great Larry Levan

also picked-up on it... as did many of the great,

original underground DJ's of day, both in and out of

the USA's biggest cities. 

It's a fantastic early night, or more often

LATE NIGHT / early morning, druggy, drawn out electronic jam,

that was absolutely perfect for coming down - or even "peaking"

on a night of drug-induced, euphoric partying, as could only be

experienced at these crucial and standard-setting clubs from

the glory years of the NYC nightlife scene.

As with any ORIGINAL Analog vinyl pressing, there is

some surface noise to be dealt with... just like we used to hear

on a heavily played DJ copy back in the day.

Because the label has squeezed more than

an hour of music onto this disc, Direct Metal Mastering,

or a very similar process, was REQUIRED

to keep this pressing sounding crisp and detailed. 
Unfortunately, the grooves are tightly squeezed together,

and the cutting lathe levels are lower than, say, 

a LOUDLY cut 12 inch single.

So any little mark or scuff can usually be heard more easily.

But it doesn't detract from any of the enjoyment!

If you're a fan of analog original pressings, this is the way to go.

The recent, easy-to-find reissues are made from digitized tapes,

ripped from a VERY old master-tape ...

with this copy, you're CLOSER to the original sound source!
