Description

Bennie Benjamin and Sol Marcus were a successful songwriting team, writing Lonely Man for Elvis Presley and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood for The Animals, Nina Simone, and many others.  This is a demo for a song that doesn't seem to have been commercially recorded called Shining Hour.  The demo is clearly in Elvis' style, and was likely pitched unsuccessfully to him.  The 10" 78 rpm acetate is in nice VG shape, with some storage marks typical of vintage acetates.  Complete with lead sheet.
