Description
*******Please read the full record details below*******You can see by my 100% sellers rating, that I don't mess around :). I say it the way that it is ;). This was a minor factory flaw, but very forgivable.
Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. This LP has a story. For those of you that are a vinyl enthusiast like me. Simply Vinyl makes some amazing audio records. I am 47 years old. I have been playing records since I was about 9 years old, when my parents would allow me to use our family turntable ;). The audio on this LP is defiantly one of my personal favorites from 90s pressed vinyl. I own many MFSL LPs from the late 70s and the 80s, which are from the best era of pure analog audio magic, just before things became completely digitally mastered. The audio sounds as great as a MFSL record, and this is a high pedigree to live up to.
This LP has been played three times now, and it looks as new as the day that it was released in 1998. The vinyl is mint with audio and visual clarity. It’s as clean as a brand new mirror. However occasionally there are little flaws that can happen to vinyl from the factory. This minor flaw was notarized from Simply Vinyl as there was a few of these pressed with a minor flaw. The minor flaw is on Disc 2 right after song 1. "The Minute of Decay". Once the first song has finished playing. The in-between dead wax from song 1 to 2, there is a tiny bubble or small vinyl bump, that makes the record do a dead skip. The saving grace is that it does happen right after the song has finished during the dead wax groove. the turntable arm for my unit needs to be lifted to continue playing??? I have only seen this a few times in my life. However on my straight arm Yamaha professional series turntable, the weight that the arm requires with my Ortofon 2M Red cartridge setting is very light. Perhaps it might play through with a heavier setting. I have not tried as my settings are to be as so with my system. I would not want to risk damaging my cartridge, and it just doesn’t feel right in doing so; when I can just lift it to continue playing. The tiny vinyl bump is not a scratch, but an imperfection that shows as a tiny little lift/bump that you can barely see with the naked eye. I had to put the vinyl in a really bright light to truly see the imperfection for what it is. Other than this, the vinyl is perfect. If you can live with this minor flaw, which is very easy forgive. You know what to do. I have adjusted the price accordingly to be fair with this small flaw. Thanks for looking and enjoy!
