redgarnett Store ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This beautiful LP from Deutsche Grammophon (SLPM 139 185, English pressing, tulip label, stereo) features Igor Markevitch and the Royal Danish Orchestra’s resplendent account of Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4 Op. 29 “The Inextinguishable”, coupled with the composer’s Tone Poem Sagadrom Op. 39, both richly recorded in Copenhagen in 1965.

The reverse side of the jacket carries insightful liner notes by R.J. Dearling, printed in English only. The striking cover art is uncredited.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is slight corner wear and creasing, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, owners’ markings, or other defects, and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT. Though the surfaces are not perfectly silent (and thus I have rated it NM vs. MINT) this is a fine copy and playback is superb. If you must have perfect surfaces, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, this rates as a NM collector's copy.
