Description
Martha & The Vandellas - Live Wire/ Old Love (Let's Try It Again)
(Stateside SS 272 UK Demo 7" 1964)
This is a UK original Demo 7" single pressing. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has white "Stateside" Demo labels which have a large red "A" on the A-side label. The labels have a 4 pronged centre. The labels also have the "Tamla Motown" production credit. The record has 1st press 45 KR 4245-1N and 45 KR 4246-1N matrix numbers. It comes with its original "Stateside" company paper sleeve.
A rare mid 1960's UK "Tamla Motown" produced Demo 7" Single. I have some other rare & collectable UK original 1960's Northern Soul/ Mod/ Motown Demo 7" Singles for sale too. So please see my other listings.
Vinyl: There are about 5 or 6 light, mild or very mild hairline surface marks, or hairline surface rub/ scuff marks, across both sides. These measure from 1 cm to 3.5 cm in length. There are some mild, very mild, more moderate or moderate surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can only be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good++ condition. Not too far from being in Very Good condition. There is a small name neatly written on the A-side label (see photo). This is written in blue biro. There is some light or very mild ringwear on some areas. There is some mild spindle wear too. The company paper sleeve is in Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or more moderate ringwear & creasing. There is a 6 cm seam split at one side edge only.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good overall. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in the background to a varying degree. It is only really noticeable in the quietest places. It never overpowers the music. The music still shines through! There are no noticeable loud clicks or pops. Overall, a very serviceable audio copy.
