Up for auction is the 1959 LP by Marty Paich, I GET A BOOT OUT OF YOU. WARNER BROTHERS WS-1349 (Stereo). This album has a great cover and a great supporting cast of musicians. I think that in the 48 years since it has been issued the appreciation for this music has continued to grow.

Paich’s group on this record includes Conte Candoli, Jack Sheldon, Bill Perkins, ART PEPPER, Russ Freeman and others. The cover has become a wall-art classic.

The record has no major flaws, but has about 6 minor hairlines & rubs that I feel do not distract from the listening experience. They produce the kind of noise that many people would not even notice unless they sat right in front of the speakers and listened for them. I grade the record VG+.

The cover is VG+/VG. No splits, no tape on the seams, no writing. The front has nice gloss with almost no rubbing and the back also has very little rubbing. There is a flaw in the upper right hand corner–a kind of "clawing" about 1/16" deep and 2" long. It has been taped to protect the area. It was there when I bought the record about 25 years ago and I do not know what caused it (see the last photo).

The record is still in an original Warner Brothers inner sleeve.

All individual records with an opening bid of over $9.99 (or a reserve) have been cleaned and play-graded in their entirety unless otherwise stated. I believe that play-grading is the only way to accurately grade a record. I use the general "Goldmine" standards, but I believe that there are "half-grades" (VG/VG+; VG+/NM etc.). I also will attempt to describe what I hear in words as well as just a grade so as to give you the best idea of what you are bidding on. I always include pictures of the record and the cover, however I need to draw your attention to the fact that sometimes there are reflections on the picture of the record that are not really there (e.g., my digital camera, me, lights in the room, etc).

I have recently retired and plan to slowly "thin-out" my collection. I will be putting a modest amount of new listings on eBay each weekend–the number depending on how my other "post-retirement activities" get in the way of this eBay "hobby." At this point of the summer, I have not been able to list as many as I would like. Please check back to see some of the interesting records that I will be listing in the future.

Records are shipped in record boxes with corrugated cardboard packing. If you request, I will remove the LP record from it’s cover before shipping. Please let me know your preference when you pay with PayPal.

USPS Shipping to USA addresses for a single LP: $3.75 for media mail; Priority mail $5.60 to $8.50 depending on postal zone. I prefer not to ship UPS.

For international bidders, one LP to Asia and South America is $15.00, Western Europe $15.70, and Canada $8.00. Those rates are using USPS "First-Class Mail® International."
