You are bidding on a 5 LP lot on vinyl from Soul Icon Marvin Gaye.  These are not some of his best known albums, but they contain hits and some awesome obscurities. All of these LP’s are on the Motown, Tamla and Columbia labels.  (See listing below).

We purchased these items decades ago, played them (and enjoyed it!), and they have been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades. 

Please remember that these albums were well taken care of but were played as part of our record collection decades ago.  We have tried to show the condition on the photos included with this listing.

This item has been stored at room temperature, in a smoke free home.  Please see photos of actual item being sold. 

Marvin Gaye 5 Vinyl LP Lot:   

MPG:  (M5-125V1) This LP was originally released in 1969, and appears to be a 1981 reissue. This LP contains several hits you will know:  “Too Busy Thinking About My Baby,” and “That’s The Way Love Is.”  The cover and album are in Excellent condition. The inner sleeve contains photos of other Motown LPs for sale.  There is a “Cutout” notch on the top right corner.  The album is on the dark Motown label (see photos).

That’s The Way Love Is  (Tamla TS299) This LP was originally released in 1969, and appears to be a an original release.  It is on the yellow and brown Tamla Label.  This LP has a great  cover of “Abraham, Martin, & John,” as well as “That’s The Way Love Is,” and “Gonna Give Her All The Love.” The inner sleeve contains photos of other Motown LPs for sale. The Cover is in VG+ condition but does show wear. The vinyl is in excellent condition. 

I Want You:  (T6-342S1) This LP was originally released in 1976, and appears to be a an original release.  It is on the yellow and brown Tamla Label.  This LP is known for “After The Dance,” and “I Want You”. This LP is one of Marvin Gaye’s great albums. The inner sleeve is generic.  There is a “Cutout” notch on the bottom right front cover. The Cover is in EX condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition. 

In Our Lifetime:  (T8-374M1) This LP was originally released in 1981, and appears to be a an original release.  It is on the yellow and brown Tamla Label.  “In Our Lifetime,” and “Love Party” are the stand out tracks.  The inner sleeve is generic.  There is a “Cutout” notch on the top right front cover. The Cover is in EX condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition. 

“In Our Lifetime” is one of his finest later albums and captures him at his craft was maturing and becoming more multifaceted”.  

Dream Of A Lifetime:  (FC 39916) This LP was originally released in 1985, and appears to be a an original release.  It is on the red Columbia Label.  “Sanctified Lady,” is the key track on this LP. The inner sleeve has photos of Marvin Gaye on both sides.  The Cover is in EX condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition. 

“Dream Of A Lifetime” was released shortly after his death, and contains unused tracks from earlier years.  Interesting but not essential.”
