Description
On offer here is an original UK Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell LP in Stereo from 1968 called You're All I Need. This is a hard enough LP to find anyway, but the bonus is it comes with an incredibly rare competition insert by Tamla Motown. There can hardly be any of these inserts left today, especially if you didn't win the prize which was a Mini. This LP is in really nice condition and would be a useful addition to anyone's Tamla collection.
The sleeve is in great shape for its age. The front laminate is really shiny with just a couple of tiny creases near the spine, barely noticeable. All the edges and spine have no wear at all and the flipback rear is brilliant white and free from staining. It has been well looked after and I will grade as Excellent. The original EMI sleeve is also in fine condition.
The all important insert is also in great condition. It does have a shop stamp on it but has no creases or wear. This would have been issued with this LP as this record was released in late 1968 and the Mini competition started in January 1969.
Visually the record has been played a few times but well looked after. There are a some spindle marks and the usual few hairlines and light wear. I will grade as VG Condition.
The vinyl plays well with all tracks playing fine on my Stereo. There is a little occasional light static and a couple of clicks on each side. I will grade as Near Excellent. Note the record label has the writing Sold in UK Subject to Resale Price Conditions proving this is a first pressing and NOT a reissue.
The matrix numbers are Side 1 STML 11084 A1 and Side 2 STML 11084 B1.
This LP has been well looked after and would be a great addition to your collection.
