I'm an audio enthusiast occasionally selling off items from my own collection.
This is the MFSL 180g audiophile pressing of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On. I bought it new from a UK retailer on first release in 2009 but have only ever played it once or twice on my Michell Orbe turntable with SME V tonearm and AT33PTG/II moving coil cartridge. I have cleaned it for the next owner on my Keith Monks record cleaning machine.
Please note: the top left-hand corner of the sleeve is badly bumped (see picture). In addition, the very top of the spine, which should be orangey yellow, has faded to pale yellow through exposure to U/V light (not direct sunlight). Otherwise, the LP is virtually as new.
The record itself is beautifully mastered and pressed with no annoying playback faults. It is flat and nicely centred on both sides. The vinyl has the odd dull patch or smear as is usually the case with pressings from RTI, but this is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect play.
There is a single mark which looks like a spindle mark on one of the labels, probably from my record cleaning machine.
One other thing: this LP was a limited edition but mine has no number. I'm guessing this is because it was a promo and my naughty retailer decided to make a bit of extra money by selling it as if it was an ordinary retail copy. I can assure you that it was sent to me unplayed and sealed in its original wrapper.
The record will be packed outside the album cover in a spare inner sleeve and everything will be packed in a tough cardboard box to make sure there is no possibility of split seams or any other damage in the post.
