Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting records in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!
A good but not stunning first issue copy of this legendary album. Having spent some time idly looking at the cover of this album - What's Going On? It's raining, Marvin, that's rain. The record has A1-B1 matrices.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look. 
Cover - is pretty good - is textured (like cloth). Front is good, but part of a ring of loss of surface ink near the top. 4 or 5 scallop creases, Sellotape along bottom edge. Wear to edges and spine - spine only partly legible. Back is good, just a touch of surface wear near top edge. Sellotape on bottom edge. I don't have a lyric sheet for this - and it comes with a Tamla inner which is of about the right age, also sellotaped at the bottom.
Record - Visual inspection first, then a bit of a play-test. Looks nice, close inspection turns-up some flaws. Side one has a fingernail mark from track 2 to track 5, then landing again on track 6. There's a very light scratch running from track 2 to track 5, and another fingernail-type mark on second half of track 1 Probably some other light scratches and marks, just on the threshold of what I can actually see. Side two has a short fingernail mark on the lead-in, which may just go into the music grooves. There's a light scratch across most of track 2. A few other light surface marks.  I have done a play-test on side one, loud on my posh hi-fi. I was very impressed. Lovely depth and quality of sound, nice bass guitar sound. Occasional very light clicks, more of those on track 3, which is kind-of sparse. Perfect for long spells. I also played first part of side two, as I had noticed flaws there - there are a few clicks at the very start of track 1, track plays excellently after that - all seven minutes of it. On track 2, some moderate clicks at the start, some quieter ones after that, then just occasional ones. Some clicks at the start of track 3, then settles-down to playing very well - there's a very sparse bit  near the end where crackling can be heard.
When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.
Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer with two stiffener sheets of cardboard (or whatever's appropriate). Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs would still be the same charge, £3.50. I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF.
Dispatch will usually be "next day".
Collection in person is welcome.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.
They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.
This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices. 
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid. HOWEVER, if you win several items, and pay for them all in the same payment, their system may well spot this and do combined postage. If this happens, pay what you're told, and I will refund the excess postage paid to me - if you buy three LPs, I would be getting three lots of £3.50, but I can send all in one parcel, so I only need one lot of £3.50, usually. The exception is, if the items you buy weigh more than 2 kilos altogether, I need to make two parcels - there is a special cheap postage rate in UK, for parcels under 2 kilos. Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.
If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.

Applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country, wherever import duty is appropriate. If you don't want to pay the customs charges, do not bid.
I don't send to China (because I prefer not to), and I also don't send to Japan, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, as importation of vinyl records is not permitted in their customs regulations.
