Description
Mary Wells Two Lovers LP PROMO 1st PRESS Mono R&B Northern Soul DEADWAX A1
MARY WELLS. TWO LOVERS AND OTHER GREAT HITS. MONO LP. MOTOWN Records #607. Deep Groove. First Pressing, DEADWAX: Side One: P4RM-1589-1C A1 Side Two: P4NM-590-1C A1. THIS 1st Pressing LP was utilized as a Promotion Copy by the local promotion person at the time. Back in the day radio stations had 'Music Librarians" who hand wrote on the back of the LP: WICE (the radio station call letters), Promotional and the number 375, as well as two tracks were yellowed to spotlight them. WICE-AM was the 'other' station in Providence that played Top 40 stuff, a station that played more songs and gave a lot of records an early shot. The album was more than likely not played, especially all the tracks other than Two Lovers and Laughing Boy, and in most likely-hood those were not played either, and if so, than barely, as they would play the singles of the titles. Beautiful mastering, pressed loud. R&B, Northern Soul,
All Records are cleaned and viewed under bright light, as well as cautious spot audio check.
