Description
You are bidding on the following:
Artist: the brilliant Matt Deighton
Title: ‘Doubtless Dauntless’
Barcode: 0 700461 967811 (final release barcode)
Release number: Monks Road 130
Label: Monks Road
Release date: 2018
Rarity: very rare initial pressing of a maximum three copies! This copy was sourced directly via Matt’s last Pledge campaign in 2018. This is a 100% genuine test pressing – remember that the final version was issued on a ‘splatter’ vinyl!
Limited audiophile 180gm black vinyl
Condition: heavyweight black vinyl pressing in excellent condition and unplayed by me from ‘new’ prior to listing. Deep shiny surface but some minor abrasion scuffs that does not affect play around the openings tracks on both the side ‘A’ and ‘B’. A couple of the lightest non-sounding scuffs no doubt from handling around the original lacquers. This should be expected as the sole purpose is to ‘test’ the record meets the sonic and cutting requirements for the final pressing. The record outer is a simple generic white paper die-cut sleeve. No grade deviation in excellent condition grading for the die-cut paper record sleeve with minor creasing only. I have played this superb album through twice on my Marantz TT-15 and I would point out that this plays to perfection. No nasty pops, clicks or jumps and played loudly with minimal background noise. Minimum excellent plus (+) condition playback. Has the first press 2018 ‘Monks Road 130 A / Monks Road 130 B’ scratched matrix numbers in the run outs!
