Description
This is the original,very rare,1961 Stereo pressing of Matt Monro's album Love Is The Same Anywhere released on E.M.I.'s Parlophone label.I can honestly say the condition of both the album sleeve and record itself is absolutely superb.As you can see from the images, the labels on the record are the Black/Gold Parlophone Stereo ones which are in mint/as new condition with absolutely no marks/scratches on either side,on them.The record/vinyl itself is in excellent/very clean condition.Side 1 has just the very odd,very light surface that could have been caused by simply placing the record back in it's sleeve.Side 2 does have more very light surface marks(light scuff/scratch marks,)i would say approx.10 in total,compared to Side 1, but would in no way affect the playing of the album.In fact,these marks are so light,they are only visable if you pivot the album in the light.The sleeve is in beautiful condition with no marks on either the front or the rear.Down the spine there is no damage with the album title displayed as clear as the day it was released.If i was being ultra critical,there is a slight ripple/kink in the laminate covering,in a slight arc shape,half way down the front,left-hand side of the sleeve and the corners are showing signs of age/wear by displaying the original card,from storage and age,but given this album is 55 years old,this is to be expected.All in all,you would be very hard pressed to find a copy of this album in better condition.An absolute joy to hold,look at and play.
