Description
This is Candid 8002 We Insist! Max Roach's Freedom Now Suite, an orange & yellow labeled, deep groove, original mono issue featuring Ms. Lincoln, Coleman Hawkins, Booker Little, Olatunji, Walter Benton and Julian Priester, in a classic album from 1960. The record is in VG+ condition, with some marks. The record plays excellently with only brief, occasional, light crackle at the beginning of a side and in some (not all) of the quiet passages. The music is undistorted and there are no skips. The original textured cover has a small ink pattern on the cover, some light foxing, a bit of edge wear, and a 6" split on the spine. The labels show no spindle marks. Still a collector's grade copy of this rare original piece with no reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
