Description

Stereo version of McCoy Tyner's "The Real McCoy" released in 1967. Liberty labels.
Cover- VG+ Excellent colors on front and white back cover. There is light wear toward the top and bottom of the back cover. Near perfect spine and top seam. The bottom seam shows wear near the spine, and there is mild ring wear on the bottom of the front cover. Writing in blue ink by the track listing on the back cover. Close to VG++.

Vinyl- VG to VG+ Beautiful gloss and nice labels. There are a few hairlines and scuffing on both sides. None are deep, but listening through headphones, some were audible at times. Through speakers I was hard-pressed to notice them. The only thing of significance is with the beginning of side two track one ("Four by Five"). Apparently the lead-in grooves themselves were modulated with the program source. For a 35 seconds or so after play begins, the music has something like sibilance to it. It isn't immediately obvious to a non critical listener. I'm speculating it was the pressing itself, or that the recording level of the master was excessively high. The music level is louder than that of side one, which is unaffected. The remaining songs on side two don't sound affected either.  --Full Disclosure--.
