McGOUGH & McGEAR , RARE Original UK MONO LP on PARLOPHONE label, PMC 7047. Matrix Codes XEX679-1 / XEX680-1.
This LP is seriously rare and virtually impossible to find. This is one of the rarest LP’s on the PARLOPHONE label, and rarely turns up for sale.
In 1968 when this LP was first released, it only ever sold in absolutely tiny amounts, and was almost immediately deleted. As a result it is seriously rare, and is incredibly hard to find.
This LP is also incredibly sought after LP, as it features some incredible artists who backed McGOUGH & McGEAR; these include:-

It is also worth noting that although it is very well known that Jimi Hendrix also plays guitar on the track 'so much.’ he also features on 'ex-art student.’
This LP has the ultra rare mono mix, with full Psychedelic effects that are completely missing on the stereo version! In fact, this is one LP where the mix really does make the ultimate difference and completely transforms the LP in every way, as the stereo mix is a huge disappointment.
Condition.
Sleeve.
The original flipback sleeve is made and printed by Garrod and Lofthouse ltd; Patents Pending. With file under POPULAR: Miscellaneous; in the top rear right Corner. The sleeve has a laminate folding on the front, foxing around the opening and a written message on the back by some vandalising love one to the owner in 1968. The edges and spine are undamaged and the text and colour on the rear remains bright and legible.
Sleeve Grading: VERY GOOD.
Labels.
Yellow and black PARLOPHONE labels, with "sold in the UK label text" with "the gramophone co " in upper case at the rim.
The labels show signs of spindle wear, but have no additional marks. The text remains legible.
Labels Grade: EXCELLENT.
Inner Sleeve.
The record comes with the UK original EMI 1968 inner sleeve. The images printed retaining their vibrancy. There are some aging marks and splits along the sides and base.
Inner Sleeve Grading: POOR.
Vinyl.
Matrix codes XEX679-1 / XEX680-1.
The vinyl when viewed under intense artificial light there are few minor fine hairline marks and a stylus mark across the first track of side one. The record has not been clean and there are small fingerprint marks present. There are no deep scratches or warping and the audible reproduction is clear with minimal interference.
Record Grade: Side 1: VERY GOOD. Side 2: VERY GOOD.
