Description
Meat Joy was a great art punk band in the early 80's austin scene. Here's a description: "The sole record by this band led by Austin legend, Gretchen Phillips. The sound is proto-Riot Grrrrl experimental with additional weirdo-folk stylation and heavy sexual politicization (as would be expected, considering it's named after a Carolee Schneeman piece). This has long been a fave of extreme left-field listeners. Edition of 1500, each with a diff cover." LP is extremely rare, even discogs has only one listed. So yeah, my orginal owner copy is very beat up.....(returns excepted!)....but I have to ask a lot of money for it, cuz I don't want to part with it, and getting evicted and have to get rid of all stuff to get mobile. UGH. Gretchen later went on to do the two nice girls....very cool acoutic type stuff...think rough trade put out some LPs. So yes each cover was drastically different....I have no sleeve, no insert...
