Here is a rare stereo first generation Meet The Beatles on Capitol Records.
Capitol Rainbow "no subsidiary" label - It has ASCAP credit on “Don’t Bother Me” and “‘Til There Was You” on side 2 and BMI credits on the rest. Pressed at number 6 plant in Los Angeles CA. There is no producer credit. The original inner sleeve is missing. Matrix numbers are hand etched, not stamped. Back cover has the “needle damage” information on the bottom. Front cover does not have the Gold Record Seal. This is the full vintage analog vinyl album.
The cover is in VG+ condition. There is very little wear to the front cover, primarily at the bottom. The back cover has some age discoloration and some kid wrote the initials MG at the bottom right corner. The seams are all great except for a little wear and small split on the top corner. While the cover is really good, the reason to add this to your collection is the amazing condition of the vinyl. It is beautiful, glossy, and nearly perfect. I say “nearly” perfect because there must be some flaw on a 50-year old slab of vinyl, but I’m damned if I can find it, or, for that matter, hear it. There are some very faint pops in the dead wax between a few of the tracks, but that is it as far as I could hear. I hadn’t played this record since I bought it, and it sounds fantastic. There is no spindle wear on the label. No warps. It’s amazing that they could drill the hole exactly in the middle of the records 50 years ago but don’t seem to be able to do so now.

I bought this copy from Wax Trax Records in the early 1980s, so I have owned it for at least 30 years. The item has been kept in a smoke-free and pet-free environment since I purchased it.
