Description
Beatles "Meet the Beatles" Capitol Rainbow Early East Coast Pressing 1964 MONO
/
This is a rare "MONO" label variation with "no subsidiary" on it. Vinyl is VG+, with some visible surface rubs and light scratches. Some pops and clicks throughout, but plays without skipping. See zoomable photos for closer details. This is an early East coast pressing!

The cover is in fantastic shape! This is one of the cleanest covers of this album I've ever seen. No rips, tears, or seam splits, top, bottom or side! Tight corners, too! No ring wear! Again, see detailed images!

Label illustrated the 1st song on Side A "I Want to Hold Your Hand" with publishing credits to BMI. All other songs are ASCAP. This is a sign of how early a pressing and label variation this is. This is the 'black Capitol rainbow label' without the word "subsidiary" which was present on pressings in the late 60's. This is also the rare "revised" label used for the initial west coast pressings and also significant from the Scranton facility! This revised label variation was sent to Capitol's east coast shortly after Jan 8th, 1964 and was packaged with first variation covers as shown here with no "George Martin" production credit! This alone makes it a rarity! Copies in similar condition have sold into the $125 range. Reserve is the starting bid. Shipping with tracking FREE within the USA. Good luck & thanks. See my other auctions for a rare psychedelic Beatles poster from 1967.
