Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 22,000(+) positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. 1. TOP COPY from 50+ years before

  2. RARE ~ Original 1971 limited edition TRANSPARENT cover, insert & vinyl with silver imprint labels ... this is not the 1979 reissue, rather again the 1971 original KRAUTROCK investment legend ..
A truly original 1971 Krautrock album, Faust's first album is one of the most psychedelic and experimental albums ever released, the sounds this band creates are not of this world !!

Faust sufficiently blends groundbreaking electronic effects and 60's psychedelia into one insane combination. The album packaging was just as weird as the music, the vinyl being transparent=clear and a sleeve with an x-ray hand on it, as "see though."

'68 - 73 Acid-head psych & prog bands were experimenting with electronic sounds at the time, but Faust took it farther than anyone else, elevating the traditional psych/hippie-folk song to higher new levels. The album isn't exactly and easy listen, and is NOT for the faint of heart, but once it all comes together, the listener knows they've visited elsewhere.
Opening track, "Why Don't You Eat Carrots" opens with heavily distorted slide guitar, dense sheets of fuzzy guitar swell until they are interrupted by relaxing keys - but not for long.
The song takes another sonic turn and we enter an eerie circus-like jam. The vocals in this one are quite weird, but then again, this is Faust! The music is soon overcome by intense electronic levels, overlayed by a conversation. The song ends with electronic experimentation, yet the main musical motif returns throughout the chaos.
"Meadow Meal" features some very odd vocals, the first part of the song being somewhat normal, some dissonant vocal melodies followed by a traditional psych jam. The second part of the track has a thunderstorm overheard, soon joined by atmospheric organ bringing the song to a dreamy close.
The album ends with the 16-minute acid-epic "Miss Fortune", which again combines the bands love for late 60's psychedelia, finding their way quite effectively to a never coming back world of LSD. "Miss Fortune" opens with a cool psychedelic jam, fuzzbox guitar and bizarre electronics make up the first 5 minutes, until the song (in true Faust fashion) falls into utter madness. Unusual vocals accompany a slow building passage, until it takes off in a  far-out splendor. The minimilast keys create an dense texture alongside odd electronic experimentation, the listener left in an aural sonic illisuion.
