Impulse Records catalog # AS-9152, stereo, copyright 1967.

A very clean copy of guitaris Mel Brown's "Chicken Fat" LP.

Brown, from Missippi, had a background in the blues. He moved to California in 1956, and tempered his bluesy style with the more sophisticated West Coast sound.

Personnel: Mel Brown - electric guitar; Herb Ellis - electric guitar, 12 string guitar; Arthur Wright - electric guitar; Gerald Wiggins - organ; Ronald Brown - elecric bass; Paul Humphrey - drums.
