Description
Prestige Bluesville 1053, “All Kinds of Blues” with Memphis Slim, vocals and guitar, from 1962. This is an original sealed copy and is presumed mint. It is likely to be a DG pressing with original label, judging from the weight and the original matte textured sleeve. The jacket is perhaps VG++ with medium corner wear on two corners, heavier wear at open end where the shrink has worn away. There is no real ringwear on the front, and the back is mostly very clean with a bit of soiling along the edges (see scan). Songs are “Blues Is Trouble”, “Grinder Man Blues”, “Three-in-One Boogie”, “Letter Home”, “Churnin’ Man Blues”, “Two of a Kind”, “The Blacks”, “If You See Kay”, “Frankie and Johnnie Boogie”, and his signature “Mother Earth”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with foam padding all around the edges to prevent seam splitting in transit. It will be shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer that is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
