CONDITION DETAILS Vinyl plays with crackles and occasional clicks (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back); slight discoloration with darker discoloration spots on back. Inner-sleeve is generic white. Spine is easy-to-read (text is crooked) with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; some wear to corners. Split near center of bottom-edge. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots; tear near bottom on front. (Not a cut-out.)
ABOUT THE RECORD Merle Haggard's first album Strangers was an impressive debut. Apart from the classic singles (All My Friends Are Gonna Be) Strangers, Sam Hill, Sing A Sad Song, and I'm Gonna Break Every Heart I Can, there's a number of fine album cuts, including I'd Trade All of My Tomorrows, If I Had Left It Up To You, and You Don't Even Try. What counts is the good stuff and the best songs on the record richly illustrate Haggard's talent and his potential.
