Metallica Black Album 45-RPM series, 4 Disc Box Set, Barely Played. The Metallica 45 RPM Series was a remastering series undertaken by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs. The remaster is taken from the original analog master tapes.
The records were half-speed remastered at 45 RPM from the original analog tapes. 2008 quadruple vinyl box set reissue on 180 gram vinyl. Lyrics sheet included. I purchased this remastered 45 RPM set when it first came out and played through the sides once, maybe twice. My memory of it is that the bass is huge and the vocals sound amazing. I am thinning out my collection, and so this one in on the auction block (keeping an original pressing and the Simply Vinyl pressing). If for some reason the buyer is unsatisfied, I will accept a return minus shipping and insurance costs. Note, it is pretty much impossible to get a good photo of the front of this album cover due to the reflection and glare. The box is in very good plus condition, with some scuffs around the edges and corners. I listed the vinyl as VG+ since it has been opened, but all sides look to be in outstanding shape. I will give it a cleaning on the VPI record cleaning machine and pack it nicely prior to shipping.
