Description

This is an original vintage Metallica "Jump in the Fire" 7-inch shaped vinyl picture disc, released in the UK in 1986 by Music for Nations (Catalog Number: PKUT 105).


Unlike standard round records, this highly collectible piece is custom-die-cut into the shape of the iconic, red-skinned "Jump in the Fire" demon. The creature features a muscular build, prominent pointed ears, bright green eyes, and a wide-open maw lined with jagged, sharp teeth.


The artwork itself is historically significant to the band's lore. It is a modified version of the demon illustration originally created by artist Les Edwards for the cover of a 1978 fantasy novel titled The Devils of D-Day. Metallica later adopted the creature as the mascot for their 1984 single.
