Description
"Master of Puppets" is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released on February 24, 1986 by Asylum Records. The album peaked at #29 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum, and on June 9, 2003, it was certified 6x platinum, by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), having shipped six million copies in the United States. "Master of Puppets" received positive reviews. This is the band's last album to feature bassist Cliff Burton, who died in a bus crash in Sweden while touring to promote the album. "Master of Puppets" has been featured on several "best albums of all time" lists. The album has frequently been tagged by critics as "one of the most influential thrash metal albums of all time". This is the Original 1986 US Vinyl Pressing on the Elektra / Asylum Label. Catalog # on the spine is: 9 60439-1. Bar code matrix # is: 0 7559-60439-1. I have never played this copy as I have it on cd, and I like to keep my "used" vinyl as "pristine" as possible. Comes with original sleeve with lyrics (intact). Record also has been stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke / pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received. Media Mail ($6) will take at least 3 to 5 weeks due to being shipped by boat from Hawaii, not air! Priority is $11, not $7 from Hawaii. International bidders please contact.
