Vinyl Surfaces  EX

Audio Test: EX to EX+

• Some crackles and low level background noise on gaps/quiet intros and the (very few!) quieter parts of songs. 
• Fantastic sound quality and the Analogue mastering is great. 
• Some subtle differences on the CD version, like the cymbal sounds and the full-ness of the sound 

Visual Check/Bright Spotlights: EX-

• Small to moderate light hairlines and a few larger marks that don't affect play. 
• No deep scratches. 

Visual Check/Bright Daylight: EX

Vinyl Labels - EX+

• Both labels excellent  

• No mould, scratches or marks. 

• Colours and printed text all perfect 

• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes, but you get this even on brand new vinyl 

Outer Sleeve  EX+

• Virtually no wear or marks, just a few 'spidering' marks along the lines of the spine. 
• Edges in great condition. 
• Spine has some wear on the writing but nothing too bad (please see pics) 
• Small areas of 'spidering' along spine edges - very common on vintage vinyl 

• Original Band Pic/Lyric Inners in great condition for age. 
• A few light creases, nothing major. 
• No splits.
• 2 x New Anti-Static sleeves also provided 

Vinyl Care/Preparation

• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Art Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This sometimes leaves residue marks, but these don't affect play. Top quality goat-hair brush used, vacuum off the fluid, then dry and buff with soft cloths. 
• Vinyl then goes into anti-static sleeves, supplied with the Vinyl you buy. 
• Vinyl outer sleeves carefully cleaned to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust - then placed in PVC sleeves to keep 'em clean.  
• Vinyls then listened to end-to-end before grading, to give a full, honest grading. 
• BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS :) ...some Vinyls look Near Mint and play poor, others look awful and play near-perfect. You can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it. 
• Eventually...(!) Lots of pics taken and Vinyl converted to WAV files for advance-listening and optional FREE digital download
• All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what's on offer before they spend hard-earned money and because I want to provide a good service.  
• For this reason, I'm not aiming to be the cheapest on eBay ???? Sensible offers considered but please don't expect me to give stuff away or match auctions with no grading, no cleaning and hit-and-miss chance of buying quality :)

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G)

Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
