• Original 1999 US First Pressing. Mastered at Masterdisk by Tony Dawsey (TD). Features the "Def Jam 2000" era labels. This is the authentic analog source cut.
Released in 1999 at the peak of the Def Jam era, Blackout! is the definitive collaboration between Method Man and Redman. With production by Erick Sermon, RZA, and Rockwilder, it defines the high-energy, gritty East Coast sound of the late 90s. This original double-vinyl pressing is highly sought after for its punchy, world-class analog mastering by Tony Dawsey.
Condition Details:
• The Media: VG — The vinyl has visible surface scuffing and some "stuffing" marks from long-term storage in the original sleeves. It isn't a perfect collector copy, but it's glossy and looks like it'll play through just fine. Perfect for a "player" copy.
• The Jacket/Case: G+ — The jacket shows significant wear. It has prominent white ring wear on both the front and back covers and a significant seam split along the top edge. Features a "Phatal Aphilliates 2001" hype sticker on the front.
The original inner sleeve is included for completeness, but the record has been moved to a premium Hudson Hi-Fi anti-static poly-lined sleeve. This ensures archival protection and prevents the "paper rashing" or static common with factory sleeves.
