Michael Chapman Rainmaker UK Harvest SHVL 755
Matrices: SHVL 755 A1G and B1G
The record is graded vg+. It is flat and very shiny with no obvious scuffs or scratches etc. On closer inspection there are a couple of light marks just visible in daylight. These do not cause any deterioration in the quality of the music. There is a little, very light, crackle on one run in but once the music starts it is inaudible.
The labels are excellent, with no marks, tears writing or stickers, just a few spindle lines showing that the lp has been played. There is no reference to EMI on the labels placing this as a first pressing (as do the matrices). Instead the writing arounfd the edge has "The Gramophone Co......."
The cover is graded ex-. It has very little wear to the corners and edges and the opening is crisp. There is some browning towards the top of the front and rear otherwise this is in fine condition.
Most pressings of this lp you will find on EBay are later post '71 pressings with the boxed EMI logo above the word "Harvest". This is a really nice copy of a genuine first pressing.
