Description
Scarce Michael Coleman Blue Colored Shellac 78 on Columbia label # 33375-F.This is the slightly smaller 3 inch label so is probably from the early 1930s.Can't be many Columbia Blue colored Shellac Michael Coleman 78s out there.Has Mrs. Kenney's Barn Dance on one side which according to the label is a Barn Dance Violin Solo.The other side has the song Dr. Gilbert's Reel Queen Of May and says Violin Reel Solo on label.The Dr. Gilbert's Reel Queen Of May side of record has multiple very light to light scratches with about 25 scratches feelable with fingernail.A Majority of the feelable scratches are small with some being longer.Has some scuffing and groove wear.Has 2 light small lams which one is only 1/4th of an inch which is near edge of record and stops at first groove.The other is a 3/8th inch lam which starts at edge and goes into a small amount of the grooves.Both are light and cannot be felt with fingernail.This side also has a light pressing indention across the grooves to the label that happened when record was pressed at the factory.I see this quite frequently on Columbia D type 78s and this also will not affect play.Also is on this side only.The Mrs. Kenney's Barn Dance side of record has multiple very light to light scratches with about 20 scratches feelable with fingernail.Most of the feelable scratches are small with 4 being longer.Has This side also has scuffing and groove wear with 4 small grey discoloration spots near bottom of record.I don't believe these will affect play.If the buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on all records I sell.
