Extremely rare test pressing of Watertower by Michael Hurley.VG condition vinyl, close to VG+, but I'd rather grade low to avoid disappointment. There is one very visible scratch over the first few tracks on side one, but I can't feel it, nor does it significantly sound. There is surface noise but not bad...a proper cleaning might rectify it. Vinyl is shiny, labels are clean. There is a slight edge warp and numerous very slight sleeve scratches and scuffs not affecting play. No skips or loud pops. Play testing on a low end TT revealed VG/VG+ sound to my ears.
Given that this is a test pressing and not intended for routine listening, and given that test pressings aren't exactly audiophile quality, this is a nice copy. The original vinyl release will always sound better than any test pressing, which is valued mainly for being "first state", IMO.
No jacket, just a plain white inner sleeve (in fair shape, but it's generic) and a distributor info sheet (in fair shape...see photo).
Definitely one of the rarest Michael Hurley pieces I've seen. I've never seen another copy of this...there may have been as few as 10 copies produced.
