Description
Offered here is a factory-sealed 45 RPM vinyl single featuring Michael Jackson’s “Ben” backed with “I Wanna Be Where You Are.” This is part of the Motown Yesteryear Oldies Series (catalog #555F / 588 sleeve). The sleeve is the original Oldies Series jacket with the record still sealed in its protective inner wrapper — never opened or played.
Condition:
• Record: Brand new, sealed, unplayed.
• Sleeve: Original Motown “Oldies” picture sleeve with bright graphics; light shelf/storage wear visible (see photos), but overall well-preserved.
• Label: Fully intact under seal.
• This is a great copy for collectors who want a pristine, unplayed example.
Historic Context & Collectibility:
“Ben” (1972) was Michael Jackson’s first solo #1 hit, recorded when he was just 14 years old. Early sealed copies are increasingly scarce, especially in the Motown Yesteryear packaging. A must-have for Motown, Michael Jackson, and vintage vinyl collectors.
