Description
A REAL FIND!
Originally released in 1982, withdrawn shortly afterward, and never reprinted, this Special Edition promotional package bears the catalog number MCA7000. The package includes the vinyl LP with Michael narrating and music by John Williams, produced by Quincy Jones. The package also includes a 22” by 22” fold-out color poster and a 24-page color storybook.
The package is in excellent condition and has never been opened. The shrink wrap is almost completely intact. There is a tear in the plastic along the top edge, one small tear on the back and on the bottom corner. Part of the wrapping is separated along the bottom edge, but this is the way it was originally packaged by the factory.
A small sticker adhered under the shrink wrap reads “Sample Copy.” I was given this package when I was the music director at a major radio station in the 1980s. I have kept it in my personal collection in an airtight container kept in a smoke-free environment. I have been its only owner.
