Gradings :
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record may visually show some minimal light signs of having been played,but looks to have been very well cared for and with very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might show to have some slight wear, including scuffs,creasing, writing etc.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played/handled many times, so deterioration in sound quality maybe but not necessarily be more audible in places.Vinyl will show a greater quantity of more noticeable surface marks and variable
scuffs ,scratches, light groove wear etc compared to EX condition.Normal wear and tear is more noticeable than EX condition on the cover or extra items, but without any major defects and is completely acceptable.
Please note Plus + and Minus - symbols will be used where appropriate when the grading falls between categories or when there is some unevenness in the grading.
NOTE:
All pre owned vinyl/sleeves/inserts etc are untested and visually inspected only, with each item graded individually to my best ability unless otherwise stated..
Top Tip:
Cleaning your records can sometimes be extremely beneficial and in many cases improving their sound quality quite dramatically and also preventing damage to the needle (stylus),thus extending the lifespan of the vinyl. Regular cleaning may possibly remove dust, fingerprints, and debris that has built up over many years amongst the grooves, thus reducing pops, crackles, and surface noise etc...
