Description
I hope to be one of your favorite sellers!
Rare! Probably the rarest MJ piece I've ever seen!
Michael Jackson
PEPSI THE CHOICE OF A NEW GENERATION
original! NO UPC CODE! How cool is that?vinyl looks unplayed - see scans.
I am revising my listing, now ready to sell the UNICORN, probably the rarest record on EBAY!
Here it is: The famous hair fire 45 in mint unplayed condition!
Also with a copy of the PEPSI WORLD MAGAZINE The magazine is not mint, show a little shelf wear and aging.
The 45 comes with clear plastic 3 mile archival sleeve.
Looks unplayed, one :60 track, one :30 on one side, other side is blank.
Please note, this 45 is not a master pressing, it was a give-away to people who worked for Pepsi
Matrix numbers: PEPSI - JACKSON 11A31 469-12BACKSTORY: Pepsi hired MJ as spokesperson, while doing the video, his hair caught on fire! These 45s were not available except through Pepsi. The magazine acted as a sleeve, it has a slot at the back. Last time I saw a mint copy for sale, (if you can find one) it was over $1000. I have this because for a number of years I lived with one of the Pepsi executives.
About the vinyl record: there are 2 selections on the record, both on same side, both are the sound tracks for the Pepsi commercial - one is 60 seconds one is 30 seconds. There is NO mention anywhere about the "Hair Fire" , this is the "OFFICIAL" Pepsi news release about the Pepsi-MJ relationship. All info about hair fire was news reports at the time, it was not mentioned in any of this material, vinyl or magazine. I was mistaken thinking it common knowledge - Hair Fire is a knickname like the Beatles "butcher" cover.
Kept in smoke-free environment! The rarest of the rare!
